About Me

My name is Denise, and I have been teaching Jazzercise for three years throughout the northern Illinois area.  I discovered Jazzercise when my high school dance coach introduced me to the program in 2008, and I have been enjoying it ever since.  I love that Jazzercise combines dance, aerobics, and strength training all into one challenging workout.  It keeps me in shape as I attend college at Northern Illinois University as an English major.

Being a fitness instructor is incredibly rewarding.  In the three years that I have been teaching, I have experienced the joy of seeing many clients work towards their fitness goals, while having fun and meeting new friends in the process.

I would like to offer this blog as not only an information source for teaching tips, but as a space to contribute your own experiences as a group fitness instructor.  The great thing about establishing a community of instructors is that we can all learn from each other; we all have our own goals, stories we’d like to share, and could use some new ideas for delivering great content to our clients.   Please feel free to participate in discussion and encourage others to do the same by sharing any content you find here.

Thanks for visiting and enjoy!
