My name is Denise, and I have been teaching Jazzercise for three years throughout the northern Illinois area. I discovered Jazzercise when my high school dance coach introduced me to the program in 2008, and I have been enjoying it ever since. I love that Jazzercise combines dance, aerobics, and strength training all into one challenging workout. It keeps me in shape as I attend college at Northern Illinois University as an English major.
Being a fitness instructor is incredibly rewarding. In the three years that I have been teaching, I have experienced the joy of seeing many clients work towards their fitness goals, while having fun and meeting new friends in the process.
I would like to offer this blog as not only an information source for teaching tips, but as a space to contribute your own experiences as a group fitness instructor. The great thing about establishing a community of instructors is that we can all learn from each other; we all have our own goals, stories we’d like to share, and could use some new ideas for delivering great content to our clients.
